Excessive Expectations

The pressure of expectations.

Expectations and ideas you create of how things should be, how things could be. Expectations live in outside of our control and so often instead of adding to our experiences, expectations hinder our reality.  Why? Because we let this limiting perspective take the drivers seat.

When we operate based on expectations, our minds are overflowing with concepts that limit our experience of life and a lot of the time expectations but pressure on us to change our reality. To release expectations, we need to see past them, stay present, and as uncomfortable as it may be, you have to trust uncertainty by appreciating all that you already are and have. Instead of letting fear creep in, we have to be fascinated with uncertainty and ambiguity.

The best things in life are unexpected because there were no expectations to begin with and the element of surprise sweeps us off our feet.
