The Need to Be Seen

We live in a world where…

the need to be seen drives our state of being. We live in a place that seeks an unattainable idea of perfection. We are conditioned to ‘fit in’, afraid to show our true colors; falling victim to only expressing the good in our lives. In reality, our lives are so much more than just that.

Do not define yourself based on your circumstances. By what you see on the outside, by what you have, by what you don’t have, by your source of income, or your productivity.

Instead, can you approach your life through a softer, less judgemental lens? By celebrating your being, and honoring your feelings, your body, and your emotions. What would happen if you tapped into your raw self by being present?

Give yourself permission, permission to listen, permission to acknowledge what you want, desire, and need. Give yourself a little more of yourself and uncover a little more of your inherent magnificence. Next time you find yourself caught up doing something for everyone else’s benefit but your own, I invite you to come back to this idea. This place of strength, self-worth, and unequivocal value.
